Nov 15, 2018 | Baseball
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Brennan DuBose, a catcher/outfielder from Martin Luther King Jr. Academic Magnet High School in Nashville, has signed a National Letter of Intent and will join the University of Memphis baseball squad for the 2020 season, head coach Daron Schoenrock announced.
"We love the versatility that Brennan has shown in the recruiting process. His athleticism and arm strength make him a viable candidate to enhance our catching corps and compete for playing time in the outfield. We welcome Brennan to the Tiger Baseball Family," Schoenrock said.
DuBose is a two-time all-district player for coach Caden Anderson at MLK Jr. Academic Magnet. He helped the team to a school-record 22-6 overall record and a district championship in 2017. DuBose was runner-up for district Most Valuable Player after batting .375 with a .519 on base percentage and .500 slugging percentage. He is the first player in his school's history to commit to play Division I baseball.
DuBose is the son of Philip and Jane DuBose.
