TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Memphis women's tennis capped its fall slate at the Roberta Alison Classic, hosted by the University of Alabama.

With six student-athletes playing three singles matches and three doubles contests on Friday and Satruday, the Tigers notched eight singles wins coupled with a trio of victories in doubles play.

Junior Katherine Cao tallied her first victory of the weekend on Friday with a 6-2, 6-3 win against Western Michigan's Kristina Tirasplolsky. The Lenexa, Kan., native finished the tournament with two singles victories and an appearance in her flight finals.

Sophomore Lina Hohnhold also made a trip to her flight finals in singles after straight-set wins against Cameron Kriscunas of Ole Miss and Tulane's Laura Fabrizi on Friday. Hohnhold also teamed up with classmate Laura Bente to collect a 7-6(6) victory in doubles against AAC foe USF on Friday. In singles, Bente also etched a straight-set win Ole Miss' Tereza Janatova on Friday.

After dropping a pair of hard-fought decisions, sophomore Alisha Reayer rebounded with a 7-5, 6-3 victory against league foe Lisa Hofbauer of ECU on Saturday.

Freshmen Aleks Topalovic and Hannah Davies also provided a strong outing to close the fall. Topalovic collected a victory against Mississippi State's Meredith Roberts to open the weekend, and also earned a doubles victory alongside Reayer. After a setback to open the tournament, Davies turned in a three-set thriller against Elizabeth Barnickel of Air Force. Trailing 6-9 in the tiebreak, Davies fought off three match points and rallied to take the tiebreak, 11-9.
