Women’s Golf Back in Action Monday and Tuesday

MEMPHIS – Fresh off a runner-up finish against a tough field at the 2017 Central District, the University of Memphis women's golf team is back in action at the UNF Collegiate, Monday and Tuesday, at the Jacksonville Golf and Country Club. Memphis is one of 16 teams in the field and will play 36 holes on Monday on the 6,002 yard, par 72 course.
Memphis, who moved their Golfstat ranking up to number 81 after the last event, will be joined in the field by College of Charleston (75), Charleston Southern (115), Campbell (51), Daytona State College, Delaware (257), Eastern Kentucky (104), Mercer (96), Murray State (86), North Florida (130), Old Dominion (60), Southern Miss (73), Virginia Tech (92), Western Carolina (181), Western Kentucky (113) and Wofford College (205).
Michaela Fletcher improved her Golfweek individual ranking to 120 in the country with her runner-up finish in the Lady Tigers' last event and she will again lead the Memphis charge at the UNF tournament. Madison Thomas, Emily Goldenstein, Leighann Cabush and Sydney Colwill will round out the team entry at the event, with Abby Herrmann also competing as an individual. Thomas posted a top 15 finish at the 2017 Central District, Memphis' first event of the spring, and both Cabush and Goldenstein tied for 24th overall.
Memphis will be paired with Southern Miss and Virginia Tech for the shotgun start on Monday. The Tigers' will stagger off between hole 4 and 7 and all the tee times will start at 8:30 a.m. (ET). Live scoring from the event can be found at www.GolfStatResults.com.
