Elizabeth Woerner Named to AAC Weekly Honor Roll

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Junior forward Elizabeth Woerner has been named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll this week after leading the Tigers with two goals in the wins over Temple and UConn this weekend. This is the second time this season Woerner has been recognized by the AAC.

Woerner scored her first goal of the weekend in the 85^th minute of the victory over Temple. Her second goal proved to be the game-winning goal in the 3-2 win against UConn on Senior Day. Woerner leads the Tigers this season with 10 goals scored.

Prior to this season, Woerner's first two seasons combined for nine goals. With 10 goals this season, Woerner is one goal shy of cracking the all-time top five list of goals scored by a junior.
