Nathan Carter Joins Memphis Baseball

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Nathan Carter, a catcher from First Assembly Christian School in Memphis, has committed to the Tigers and will join the University of Memphis baseball squad for the 2018 season, head coach Daron Schoenrock announced Friday.
"Nathan's ability to defend at a high level behind the plate made him a huge attraction to add to this recruiting class. He possesses the strong work ethic necessary to develop into the field general we expect our catchers to become. The strength he has added over the past year will allow him to develop into a solid Division I offensive player as well. We're glad he chose to become a Tiger," Schoenrock said.
Carter is an all-district player and four-year starting catcher for the FACS Crusaders. Also a member of the Memphis Tigers summer baseball team that posted a 30-3 record. Carter is a linebacker on the football team and serves as a team captain for the team that advanced to the quarterfinals of the state playoffs. He is the high school teammate of another future Tiger, Bailey Wimberley.
Carter is the son of Brenda and Rob Carter.
