Oluchi Agomuo Named to American Honor Roll

First honor of the season for the sophomore outside hitter.
MEMPHIS – Sophomore outside hitter Oluchi Agomuo was named to the American Athletic Conference's weekly honor roll after setting a pair of career bests in a 1-1 week for the Tigers last week.
In a 3-2 win at Cincinnati, Agomuo tied a career-high with 19 kills, helping start a 7-0 run from 13-8 down for a 15-13 fifth set victory. On Sunday, Agomuo set a career mark with 21 digs in a 3-1 loss to East Carolina.
Agomuo is the second Tiger this season to earn a spot on the weekly honor roll. Junior outside Catlin Lilly was named to the Sept. 7th weekly list as well. This is the second time in her Memphis career that Agomuo has earned a spot on the weekly honor roll. She was also named to the list Nov. 17th last season as a true freshman.
Memphis will now play six of its next eight matches on the road, starting this weekend at Temple, Friday, and at UConn, Sunday.
The Tigers return home on Oct. 9th to host USF at 7 p.m., then will host preseason favorites UCF, Sunday, Oct. 11th at 1 p.m.
