Tigers Rifle Remains In Nation's Top-10

Memphis ranked in top-10 for seventh time in eight weeks.
MURRAY, Ky. – For the seventh time in eight weeks, the University of Memphis rifle squad finds itself ranked in the top-10 of the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) poll, the organization released Wednesday. The Tigers are ranked No. 10 in this week's poll.
Memphis dropped three positions from last week's No. 7 ranking. The Tigers' highest ranking was No. 6 in the Oct. 13 poll.
The lone week Memphis was outside the top-10 was the Nov. 10 poll. The Tigers were No. 12 in that poll.
Three-time NCAA champion West Virginia remained No. 1 this week. Murray State is No. 2, followed by TCU at No. 3.
All nine Great American Rifle Conference (GARC) programs are in this week's poll with West Virginia at No. 1, followed by No. 7 Nebraska, No. 8 Kentucky, No. 10 Memphis, No. 12 N.C. State, No. 13 Army, No. 14 Navy, No. 15 Akron and No. 16 Ole Miss.
Last weekend was the Tigers' final competitions for the fall portion of their 2015-16 schedule. Memphis returns to action at Murray State's Withrow Invitational Jan. 24.
