MEMPHIS, Tenn. -

IUPUI (3-2) (3) 25 21 19 25 15 Memphis (3-2) (2) 23 25 25 22 9
Memphis got the day started with a 3-1 win over Iona, but despite a program-record 37 digs by libero Christine Bach, the Tigers could not make it a sweep of the day, falling to IUPUI 3-2.
After holding what looked to be a commanding 22-17 lead late in the opening frame, Memphis saw IUPUI close out the set with a 8-1 run to take a 1-0 advantage. That would prove to a telling of events to come as the Tiger took sets two and three. But the Jags would not be denied winning set four and racing to a 15-9 in the deciding game.
Bach, who held the previous record for digs in a match, with a 35-dig outing at SMU last year, reset her mark with 37 digs in the contest.
Memphis will take on Indiana State, at 11:30 a.m., and Troy at 7 p.m. in doubleheader action on Saturday.
