• Leila Dolfo hit her 10th home run of the season to left field to lead off the bottom of the first inning. It is her 31st RBI and 32nd run scored of the year. The hit also gives her a five-game hitting streak, matching her season high.
• Tori Gross extended her hitting streak to seven games with a single through the left side in the second inning. It is the second longest streak this season by Memphis. The Tigers had a eight game streak by Lindsay Kelso earlier in the year.
• Maddie McKinley knocked in two runs with her first career double in the second inning. The hit scored Sara Schneider's eighth run of the year and Tori Gross' 15th.
• Lindsay Kelso hit her ninth double of the season to centerfield in the third inning.
• Tori Gross had her fifth multi-hit game with three singles in a 3-for-3 performance. It is the second time this season she has had three hits in a contest and third time in her career. She also scored two runs in the game marking her fourth multi-run game of the year.
• Maddie McKinley hit her second career homer on a two run shot to left field in the sixth inning to give the Tigers its first lead in the game. The dinger gave McKinley four RBI in the game. She now has seven on the season and four runs scored. The hit also scored Tori Gross' 16th run of the year.
• The multi hit game for Maddie McKinley was the third of her career and it was her first multi-RBI game.
• The Tigers are now 3-10 this year when the opponent scores in the first inning and 5-16 when the opponent scores first.
• This was the first loss for Memphis when leading after six innings. The Tigers are now 12-1 in those situations.
• Memphis out-hit Southern Miss 9-7 and is now 19-4 when out-hitting its opponent.
