• Senior centerfielder Lindsay Kelso hit her first home run of the season to right center in the first inning to give Memphis a 2-0 lead. The RBI's were Kelso fourth and fifth of the season, and the run is her fourth. Junior Leandra Hines scored her fourth run of the season on the hit.
• Junior Kimmi Hayden followed Kelso's homer with a dinger to left field; her second home run of the day. The RBI is Hayden's third and the run is her fourth.
• Redshirt-freshman Heather Mott nearly made it back-to-back-to back home runs in the first inning with a shot over the fence that barely missed fair territory.
• Senior third baseman Melissa Nance recorded her first hit of the season, an RBI single in the fourth inning that scored sophomore Leigh Rowan. The RBI is Nance's second of the season and the run is Rowan's fifth.
• Junior first baseman Leila Dolfo finished two-for-4 with two singles and an RBI. It is her second multi-hit game of the season.
• Kimmi Hayden finished 2-for-4 in the game for her first multi-hit game of the season.
• Leigh Rowan hit her team-leading third home run of the season on a shot to right field
• Rowan's fourth inning score proved to be the game winner with the game-winning hit being credited to Melissa Nance.
• Freshman Janelle Valle won her third game of the season and second of the day to improve to 3-0.
• The multi-RBI game is the second of the season for Leigh Rowan and first for Lindsey Kelso.
• The game marks the first ever match-up between Memphis and Nebraska.
