Men's Tennis Falls to Vanderbilt

Nashville, Tenn. - Vanderbilt, ranked 30th in the nation, knocked off the 74th ranked Tigers of Memphis, 5-2, in men's tennis action on Saturday in Nashville. Vanderbilt is now 2-0 on the season while Memphis suffers its first defeat to fall to 1-1.
"It was a competitive, solid match," said Memphis head coach Phil Chamberlain, now in his third season at the helm of Tiger tennis. "It was much closer than the score indicates. I feel very good about the way we played. It's something we can build on."
Senior Michael Chamberlain and freshman Alex Bucewicz picked up the Tigers' two wins at number five and number six singles respectively.
