Women's Cross Country Captures ASU/Pepsi Title

Jonesboro, Ark. - Wendy Ragle led six University of Memphis runners in the top 10 to pace the Lady Tigers to the 2001 ASU/Pepsi Cross Country Invitational championship over the weekend. Ragle finished second individually behind Erin Jordan of Ole Miss for her third top three finish in four events this year. Lilly Lebron finished fourth while Nora Nemere placed sixth, Andrea Dahlman placed seventh, Leslie Daley placed eighth and Hayley Futrell placed tenth. Memphis easily outdistanced Ole Miss which finished second. The Lady Tigers accumulated 27 points with Ole Miss finishing second with 58. The Lady Tigers travel to Carbondale, Illinois, this weekend for the Southern Illinois Invitational.
