Betsy Card Wins Flight Three Singles Championship at MTSU

Murfreesboro, Tenn.-- - Senior Betsy Card won the Flight Three singles championship at the Middle Tennessee State Fall Invitational, Sunday. Card defeated Eastern Michigan's Shari Gamarnik, 7-5, 4-6, (10-3). Card went 4-0 through the tournament in singles and teamed with junior Annika Westberg / to go 4-1, losing their opening round match. The duo placed ninth with a 8-4 win over Eastern Michigan's Clark/Lincaru, Sunday.
The Lady Tigers return home to host the University of Memphis Invitational this weekend. ' Due to the renovations of the University of Memphis courts, the tournament will be held at Hutchinson School at 1740 Ridgeway Road.
