Green comes to Memphis after spending the previous two seasons as a graduate assistant with the University of Detroit Mercy women’s basketball squad.
“I’m excited to be a part of the Tiger family and continue my growth under the leadership of Coach McFerrin,” stated Green.
As director of operations, Green is directly responsible for all team-related compliance and administrative tasks including the coordination of all team travel and meals. He also acts as the liaison to the men’s basketball and volleyball teams, the equipment room as well as marketing and special events.
During the 2018-19 season, Green was responsible for tape exchange and game film as well as preparing video for scouting reports and other additional duties as assigned.
Prior to his stop at Detroit Mercy, Green spent multiple seasons with Old Dominion women’s basketball program.
Green had many roles with the ODU women’s basketball team. Most recently he served as the interim Video Coordinator for the 2015-16 season, creating video highlights, coordinating film exchange with other teams and setting up and operating all video equipment at practices and games, among other duties.
He started working with the Monarchs prior to the 2013-14 season and was a student manager and office assistant for the squad. Some of his responsibilities during his time with ODU included working various basketball camps and clinics, assisting with the coordination of travel, assisting in the development of post players and filming games and practices.
A Virginia native, Green graduated from Old Dominion University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management.
