Prior to Memphis
- Prepped at Southland High School where she was a two-sport letterwinner in volleyball and softball
- Was part of the Conference Tournament softball team
- Named a First Team All-Conference, First Team All-District and First Team All-Region player three times and was an All-State performer in her senior season
- Was also named as the Tri-County Conference Player of the Year in her freshman, sophomore and senior seasons (no junior season due to COVID)
-Helped lead her team to a 15-3 overall record in her senior year
- Was named Valedictorian of her class
- Daughter of Lonnie and Lynette Gibson
