Memphis Cross Country Heads to Rhodes Invitational

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis cross country team travels to Shelby Farms Park on Saturday, Sept. 19, to compete in the Rhodes Invitational.
Hosted by Rhodes College, the meet begins with the men's 8k at 8 a.m., followed by the women's 5k at 8:45 a.m. This marks the third consecutive year the Tigers will participate in the event.
Memphis enters the meet following strong individual performances at the City Auto Memphis Twilight. Robert Randall and James Marimbe led the men with top-50 finishes, placing 14th and 27th, respectively. On the women's side, Reese McDevitt was the lone Tiger to crack the top 50, finishing 43rd.
At last year's invitational, the men's squad took second place, led by Randall's fourth-place finish. On the women's side, McDevitt, Reese Martin and Brooke Doyle all cracked the top 30 to propel the team to a fourth-place finish.
