Faith Brown Takes Home American Weekly Honorable Mention

IRVING, Texas – Sophomore infielder Faith Brown brings home Memphis softball's third American Conference weekly honorable mention nod of the season, per a league release Monday afternoon.
Brown, a native of Hermitage, Tennessee, had a stellar week at the plate, highlighted by a .600/.600/1.200 slash line against Tulsa, leading the team with 10 hits, two home runs and four RBI. Earlier in the week, Brown also had a 1.350 OPS in a doubleheader against Jackson State where she had one double and three RBI.
This is the first weekly honor in Brown's career and she currently sits in second on the Tigers in batting average (.358), hits (29), runs (17), home runs (five) and is tied for the team lead with six doubles and 20 RBI.
She is also Memphis' leader in batting average, OPS, hits, runs, doubles, triples, home runs, RBI and stolen bases in conference play.
UP NEXT
The Tigers are set to host Ole Miss for a midweek matchup on Tuesday, March 31 before traveling to Birmingham to open the month of April against UAB, with games set for Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Tickets will be free for all current University of Memphis students. Up to two fans ages 17 and under will be allowed free admission per paid adult that enters with them. Please note that tickets for children ages 17 and under will be for the standing room only section. Reserved seating tickets must be purchased if adults would like them to have a seat in the bleachers.
As a reminder, fans are not permitted to bring umbrellas into the venue and Tigers Softball Complex has a clear bag policy.
