Memphis, Tulane Set for 2 Games in 3 Days
Feb 16, 2026 | Women's Basketball
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis and Tulane women's basketball will be seeing plenty of each other over the next three days, with the teams set to face off twice in American Conference play this week, beginning Tuesday night at Elma Roane Fieldhouse at 7 p.m.
Less than 48 hours later, the teams will battle at Devlin Fieldhouse in New Orleans, set for 6:30 p.m. on February 19. The scheduling quirk is a result of a January 27 game being postponed to Tuesday due to snow in Memphis. Tickets can be purchased HERE.
The Tigers (8-16, 2-9 American) are looking to snap a four-game losing streak, with three games decided by five points or less. In Saturday's 61-58 loss to Charlotte, Daejah Richmond scored 21 points behind a career-best 11-of-12 free-throw shooting performance, and Paris Gaines matched her career-high 12 rebounds in her return from injury.
Tulane (8-16, 3-9 American) is trying to shed a six-game losing streak of their own, as well as a four-game losing spell against Memphis. The Tigers jumped out to a 25-9 lead in Devlin Fieldhouse last season, holding on for a 68-65 victory. DeeDee Hagemann had 20 points and seven assists in what is still the Tigers' last conference road win. Memphis has a 33-26 all-time advantage in the storied series.
The Green Wave rank fifth in the conference in two-point field goal percentage (44.5%) behind post players Amira Mabry and Dylann Hanna. 2025 American Conference Freshman of the Year Kendall Sneed returned to campus but has seen her production decline in her sophomore year, averaging 7.0 points per contest.
Ashley Langford is in her second year as head coach of Tulane. A former Freshman All-American point guard for the Green Wave, she was head coach of Stony Brook for three seasons, earning Coastal Athletic Association Coach of the Year in 2023-24.
