MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis men's and women's track and field teams opened their indoor season in Birmingham, Alabama for the Birmingham Icebreaker on December, 5^th for the third year in the row.

This meet will be at the Birmingham Crossplex and live results can be found above. The first event will start at 8:30 a.m. with the 60m preliminaries.

Gabriel Koletsi, Sascha Salesius Schmidt, Jamal Mitchell, Oageng Mdlela and Kouto Anyika all qualified for the NCAA East Regional Championships last season and return for the Tigers this year.

On the women's side, Maddie Roberts, Gizel Clayton, Dejona Simpson, Judy Elful and Jazmyn James also return after advancing to the NCAA East Regional Championships last season.

Koletsi and Schmidt went on to qualify for the NCAA Championships, with Koletsi competing in the javelin and Schmidt in shot put.
