Oct 28, 2025 | Football
TYLER, Texas – University of Memphis quarterback Brendon Lewis was named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Player of the Week list, the organization announced Tuesday.
The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award will be presented annually to the nation's outstanding Division I college offensive player who meets one of more of the following criteria: played football at and graduated from a Texas high school or plays at a Texas Division I four-year institution. The player must also exhibit the enduring characteristics that define Earl Campbell, including integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, community and tenacity.
Lewis, a redshirt senior out of Dallas, Texas, helped lead the Tigers to a 34-31 win over No.18/20 South Florida this past weekend after going 27-for-44 with two touchdowns. His career day of 307 passing yards included 10 different receivers – the second time this season he has accomplished this feat – while both scores came with Cortez Braham Jr. Lewis went on to add on 35 yards on the ground and one reception for 14 yards.
This is the second time Lewis has been named to the list this season.
