Apr 25, 2026 | Football
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis offensive tackle Travis Burke was selected with the 17th pick (117th overall) in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday.
Memphis has had at least one draftee in 11 of the past 13 NFL Drafts, with Burke being the 17th player selected over that span. It also marks the first time since the 2021 and 2022 NFL Drafts where the Tigers had a player picked in consecutive drafts, with Kobee Minor being selected in the seventh round of the 2025 Draft.
Burke joined the Tigers in 2025 after stints at Gardner-Webb and FIU, making his mark in his final collegiate season, culminating in an American Conference All-First Team nod. During the season, Burke and the Memphis offensive line were named to the Joe Moore Award Midseason Honor Roll.
In his only season with the Tigers, Burke helped block for a Memphis offense that finished sixth in red zone offense, 19th in scoring offense, 38th in rushing offense and top 60 in passing offense.
Memphis' 34 rushing touchdowns behind Burke's blocking in 2025 were tied for fifth nationally and its 2,231 team rushing yards were in the top 40 in the NCAA.
