NEW YORK -Â Â The University of Memphis football team's offensive line has been named to the 2026 Joe Moore Award Midseason Honor Roll, the organization announced Wednesday evening.
Â
Memphis (6-0, 2-0 American) has been dominating this season, ranking in the top 20 in the country for fewest penalties per game and 12th in rushing offense – out rushing opponents 1,559-688 so far this season. The Tigers also lead the country with 22 rushing touchdowns and rank in the top 10 in total offensive touchdowns.
Â
Led by starters Chris Adams, Malachi Breland, Yakiri Walker, Parker Mitchell and Travis Burke, the offensive line has helped the Tigers to a 100 percent red zone offense with 88 percent of the red zone possessions having resulted in a touchdown down – the highest mark in FBS.
Â
The Tigers are one of 24 offensive line units named to the midseason list and one of only four American teams (Army, Navy, Tulane).
Â
The Joe Moore Award is named after Joe Moore, widely regarded as one of the best offensive line coaches in college football history, most notably for his work at Notre Dame and the University of Pittsburgh. Coach Moore sent 52 players on to the NFL, including Bill Fralic, Mark May, Russ Grimm, Jimbo Covert, Andy Heck and others. The Joe Moore Award trophy, crafted by legendary sports sculptor Jerry McKenna, is the largest trophy in college football, standing at a height of seven feet and weighing in at more than 800 pounds. The perpetual trophy is made available for display by the winning university until the conclusion of the following college football season. The semifinalists for the Joe Moore Award will be announced on Nov. 5.
