Tigers Remain Ranked in Recent Polls

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis football team has moved up one of the polls this week, putting them No. 22 in the Associated Press poll and No. 20 in the US LBM Coaches Poll.
Memphis (6-0, 2-0 American) is coming off a bye-week that came after a dominating 45-7 win over Tulsa at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium. The first team in FBS this season to be bowl eligible, the Tigers moved up five spots in the Coaches Poll after coming in at No. 25 last week and one slot in the Assocated Press poll.
South Florida (19/23) is the only other American team ranked in the polls while Navy and Tulane are receiving votes in both polls.
The Tigers are set to take on UAB this weekend in the coveted Battle for the Bones game. Memphis, who has retained the Bones trophy since 2012, will make its way to Birmingham for a 3 p.m. kick on Saturday, Oct. 18. Coverage of the game can be found on ESPN2.
