Memphis Basketball Retro Game Announced for Sunday Against UAB
Â
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The No. 24 Memphis Tigers will host longtime rival and American Athletic Conference preseason favorite UAB on Sunday at Noon inside FedExForum.
Â
Not only will that be the annual 'Stripe Out' game, but the Tigers announced on Thursday, it will also be the Memphis Basketball Retro Game where they will recognize and honor the University's rich heritage and tradition.
Â
It will be the only time this season that Tiger Nation will get to see the beloved 'Memphis State' white uniforms on the court.
Â
There will be 5,000 t-shirts given away with a throwback Memphis script font on the front. The shirts are sponsored by Conway.
Â
In-game elements, including graphics on the video boards and score bug, will also be throwing it back to the late 1980s days at the Mid-South Coliseum with a retro look.
Â
Tiger Bookstore will be offering a vintage item of the game for fans to purchase on the concourse.
Â
At halftime, there will be a men's basketball alumni recognition as some of your favorite past Tigers will be in attendance.
Â
Single-game tickets for the Retro Game can be purchase HERE, or fans can choose the "WIN TOGETHER" plan to win free tickets as long as the Tigers continue to win their remaining games at home.
Â
Starting at $70, fans can purchase a Club Level ticket to the Memphis Men's basketball game versus Wichita State on Thursday, January 23rd. With a win vs Wichita, Win Together purchasers would receive a free ticket to the next home game vs. UAB on January 26. Win again, and get the next home game, and so on.
Â
One home loss ends the Win Together ticket offer.Â
