Memphis State 1993 Team to Release the Tigers this Saturday

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis State 1993 Football Team will be the "Release the Tigers" honorees presented by Dillard Door & Entrance Control for Saturday's game against Troy at 11 a.m. at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.
With notable wins over No. 23 Mississippi State, Arkansas and Ole Miss, the 1993 team was led by NFL Hall of Fame inductee Isaac Bruce, M Club Hall of Famer and retired jersey honoree Danon Barto and quarterback Steve Matthews, who ranks in the top 10 in program history in total offensive yards.
"We are excited to welcome the 1993 football team back to the Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium to 'Release the Tigers," said Senior Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Ed Scott, Ph.D. "The energy and emotion the historic team will bring to our fans on Saturday will create an electric atmosphere. We look forward to honoring the 1993 Memphis Tigers football team this weekend."
The 1993 team will take part in Tiger Walk starting at 8:30 a.m. before Releasing the Tigers for kickoff at 11 a.m. At halftime, an on-field recognition will take place for the team and their accomplishments.
