Tigers Round Out Regular Season at North Texas

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis women's basketball team will finish up regular season play Tuesday evening in Denton when the Tigers take on North Texas.
Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. with coverage available on ESPN+.
Memphis (13-15, 9-8 AAC) is riding a five-game win streak that was extended this past weekend when the Tigers doused the Blazers of UAB with an 82-61 victory. Madison Griggs led all scorers with 21 points while going 5-of-7 from long range and Alasia Smith picked up her 10th double-double of the season with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
The Tigers currently sit in a six-way tie for fourth place going into the final games of the regular season thanks to a five-game win streak that brought them all the way up from 10th place in the AAC standings.
In the national rankings, Memphis is fourth in offensive rebounds per game with an average of just over 17 while ranking 18th in Division I in turnovers forced with 20.1 per game.
North Texas (22-7, 12-5 AAC) is one of three teams in a tie for first place in the AAC. The Mean Green is currently on a three-game win streak that was extended on Saturday when they collected a 63-54 win over Rice.
Graduate transfer DesiRay Kernal is leading the team in points and rebounds with an average of 16.3 and 8.5, respectively, while Tommisha Lampkin and Dyani Robinson are adding in a combined 26.0 points per game.
As a team, North Texas leads the AAC in field goal percentage (46.4), scoring margin (11.2) and scoring offense (75.3).
