
No. 16 Tigers Back in FedExForum Against Louisiana Tech

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis Tiger men's basketball team is back in the Bluff City after more than two weeks to play host to Louisiana Tech Wednesday night.
Memphis (7-1) is coming off one of the most talked about Feast Week tournaments after taking down No. 2 UConn and (RV) Michigan State in the first two rounds of the Maui Invitational. PJ Haggerty and Tyrese Hunter, who both averaged 20 points/game or more, were named to the All-Tournament Team while the team brought in a 16 ranking in the Associated Press rankings and 15th in the USA Today Sports Coaches Poll.
Hunter was also named as the American Athletic Conference's Player of the Week after having himself a time from beyond the arc in Maui. Through the three games, Hunter went 14-24 (.583), including a 7-10 spot in the team's 99-97 OT win over the Huskies. Hunter finished the week averaging 20.0 points/game while shooting 19-38 (.500) from the field.
Along with Haggerty and Hunter, Colby Rogers (12.6) and Dain Dainja (10.9) are both averaging double figure scoring.

- The last time the two teams met back in 2015, five Memphis players scored in double figures while Shaq Goodwin and Trahson Burrell both recorded double-doubles.
- Before the match up in 2015, the teams met in both 2004 and 2005, all three games played in Memphis.
SCOUTING THE LOUISIANA TECH BULLDOGS
- The Bulldogs come into Wednesday's game off their first loss of the season where Southern University stunned Louisiana Tech on the 73-70 final.
- Despite getting double-digit scoring performances from Daniel Batcho (22), Al Green (19) and Sean Newman Jr. (10), turnovers were the name of the game as the Bulldogs were forced into 17 turnovers – almost double what they normally average.
