Track and Field Unveils 2025 Schedule

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The men's and women's track and field programs at the University of Memphis announced their indoor and outdoor track schedules on Tuesday, which starts on Friday, December 6.
"I'm incredibly excited to get this season underway. We have brought in a very solid recruiting class and returned a number of NCAA qualifiers and All-Conference performers," head coach Kevin Robinson said of his 19th season as head coach and 23rd at the university. "I believe that we are in a very good place, and this schedule provides us every opportunity to compete against some of the best."
The BSC Icebreaker on December 6 will be the only meet of the 2024 calendar year, with the indoor season resuming on January 17 at the Vanderbilt Invitational. The Tigers will compete in the Bob Teel Invitational (January 25), the PNC Lenny Lyles Invite (January 31), the UAB Open (February 7), the Samford Invitational (February 14), and the Southeast Missouri Invite (February 21) before indoor postseason competition.
The AAC Indoor Championships will be held from February 28 to March 1 in Birmingham, Alabama. The NCAA will hold their indoor championship in Virginia Beach on March 14 and 15.
Outdoor season will begin on March 21 in Memphis when the Tigers compete in the Rhodes Invitational, where they won 11 events last season. They will have two meets in Missouri with the WashU Distance Carnival on March 28 and the Southeast Missouri Invite on April 4. Tigers will also compete in the Don McGary Invitational at Kent State on March 28.
The outdoor Tigers will then head to four SEC campuses in as many weeks, competing in the Joe Walker Invite at Ole Miss (April 4), the Crimson Tide Invitational (April 11), the Tom Jones Memorial at the University of Florida (April 18) and the LSU Alumni Gold (April 26).
The final regular season meet will be hosted on campus at the annual Memphis Tiger Invitational. AAC Outdoor Championships will begin on May 16 in Charlotte, North Carolina, and the NCAA East Preliminary Rounds will commence in Jacksonville, Florida, on May 28.
