Spiers Signs On as Member of 2025 Signing Class

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Head women's basketball coach Alex Simmons announced an addition to the 2025-26 Memphis women's basketball squad on Wednesday, with forward Jah'Naesia Spiers set to join the team in the fall.
"We are very excited to add Jah'Naesia to our Tiger family. She has the pedigree and the mindset that we want to continue to add to our program," said Simmons. "Her style of play fits our system with the ability to be versatile on offense and defense. I am proud to add Nae and her family!"
Spiers, a 6-foot-1 power forward, attends Norcross High School outside Atlanta, where she has received All-Region Offensive Player of the Year and Best All-Around Player honors, as well as being named to the First Team.
Ranked a top-15 player in the state of Georgia, Spiers also plays for FBC United Legacy. She will be a freshman in the fall of 2025 and join a forward room that includes sophomore Latazia Williamson and freshmen Bailey Gilmore and Tamya Smith.
