Tigers Set for City Auto Memphis Twilight Classic

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis Cross Country team is set to kick off its season Saturday night, running at the City Auto Memphis Twilight Classic at Mike Rose Soccer Complex in Memphis.
The women's team will run a 5K race starting at 9:20 p.m. with the men to follow in the four-mile race scheduled for 10 p.m. Full meet details can be found on our schedule page at GoTigersGo.com.
"The Memphis Twilight is always a fun meet to run," cross country coach Ken Frenette said. "It's close for us which keeps it simple for us. Racing at night is always nice. The sun will certainly be down, we'll just have to see what the temperature and the humidity is, but everyone is running in the same elements."
At last year's meet, Chloe Figgins led the way for the Memphis women, finishing as the meet's runner up in 17:49.56. On the men's side, returner Vincent Chenier finished seventh (20:09.10).
