MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis Tigers track & field teams are set to host the annual Memphis Invitational at the Murphy Soccer/Track & Field Complex on Friday and Saturday. Action is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Friday and is slated to resume on Saturday at 10 a.m. Live results for both days can be found here.

"It's always great to be able to compete here in Memphis," head coach Kevin Robinson said. "It gives us an opportunity to showcase our facility and allow our student-athletes to compete in front of their friends and family. We look forward to a great competition that will be both athlete friendly, as well as spectator friendly."

NOTABLES
• In the women's hammer throw at the Crimson Tide Invite, Amber Simspon launched a 67.11-meter throw (220'2") to put herself at No. 2 all-time at Memphis in the event. Additionally, her throw ranks eighth in the NCAA this season.
• Samantha Lenton won the discus at the Ole Miss Classic with a 56.93-meter (186'9") throw that currently ranks 14^th in the nation. Additionally, her throw of 61.08 meters (200'5") in the hammer throw at the Louisville Invitational ranks 46^th in the country this season.
• Jada Shanklin won the women's high jump (5'10" / 1.78m) at the Ole Miss Classic with a jump that currently ranks 29^th in the NCAA.
• Sascha Salesius Schmidt won the shot put at the Harding Invite with a personal-best throw of 17.92 meters (58'9.5"). That mark ranks 32^nd in the East Region. In addition, his discus mark of 56.04m (183'10") is No. 22 in the East Region.
• In the 100-meter hurdles, Madison Fleming took down Tayanna Simpson's school record set in 2009 when she clocked 13.59 at the Joe Walker Invitational to finish third.
• Will Dibo finished runner up in the men's discus at the Louisville Invite with a 54.98-meter throw (180'4"), a mark that currently ranks 28^th in the East Region. Dibo also has a personal-best throw of 17.24 meters (56'6.75") in the shot put that ranks 64^th in the East Region.
• On the men's side, javelin thrower Vitaliy Favorov took silver at the Joe Walker Invite with a 67.57-meter throw (221'8"). His mark ranks 28^th in the East Region this year.
• At the Louisville Invitational, Evan Puckett recorded an outdoor PR with a clearance of 5.15 meters (16'10.5") in the pole vault to finish third and take his place at No. 25 in the East Region this season. Alyssa Morello and Monica Aldrighetti both cleared 4.05 meters (13'3.5") to finish third and sixth, respectively. Their marks tie them for 35^th in the East Region this year.
• Poorna Raorane's mark of 15.30m (50'2.5") in the shot put ranks 43^rd in the East Region.
