Mar 10, 2023 | Men's Track and Field
Albuquerque, N.M. – University of Memphis senior pole vaulter Cole Riddle finished his indoor season in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the NCAA Indoor Championships on Friday night, where he finished 14th overall to earn Second Team All-America honors.
Riddle cleared 5.31 meters (17'5") before going out at 5.51 meters. The senior from Surprise, Ariz., also finished 14th for the Tigers in June 2022 at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore.
"Cole had an incredible season, and I'm very proud of him," pole vault coach Kyle Ellis said. "Unfortunately we had an injury at the end of the season that made practicing and competing very difficult."
Riddle was the lone Tiger competing in this weekend's NCAA Indoor Championships. The Tigers will now turn the page to outdoor season and start preparation for the Raleigh Relays and Ole Miss Classic on March 24-25.
