
No. 12 Memphis Hosts No. 8 Murray State on Wednesday

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The No. 12-ranked University of Memphis rifle team will host No. 8 Murray State on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 1 p.m. at the R.F. Fogelman Rifle Range in Memphis, Tenn.
The match will be the last one for the Tigers in Memphis this season and live targets can be found at GoTigersGo.com.
"We are very happy that we were able to get our match with Murray State rescheduled for this week," head coach Morgan Phillips said. "It'll be a busy week between hosting them and traveling to Ole Miss over the weekend, but we're feeling very prepared. We've been able to do a lot of fine tuning over the last couple weeks and are excited to see what we can do."
The Tigers enter Wednesday's match with an overall record of 4-6 on the season and a mark of 2-5 in Great American Rifle Conference (GARC) action. Memphis has won two-straight matches, beating No. 12 NC State, 4714-4674, on Jan. 21 and No. 19 UT Martin, 4693-4596, on Jan. 22. Murray State enters the match with a mark of 5-3 on the year.
Memphis broke all three major team records in the victory over NC State, setting new program standards in smallbore (2341), air rifle (2374) and aggregate score (4714).
