
No. 11 Memphis Competes in NCAA Qualifier

OXFORD, Miss. – The No. 11-ranked University of Memphis rifle team traveled to Oxford, Miss. to compete in the team's NCAA Qualifier on Saturday. The team posted totals of 2320 in smallbore, 2381 in air rifle and an aggregate of 4701.
"We're proud of the way we performed and managed a tough match today," head coach Morgan Phillips said. "The post season always feels a little different, so for us to still be shooting some of our best this year is great. We're excited to watch the selection show on Monday to find out who qualifies for the national championship!"
KEY MOMENTS
• Freshman Gabriela Zych led the way for the Tigers on Saturday, posting team-best scores in both smallbore (585) and aggregate (1181).
• Senior Angeline Henry had the best showing in air rifle for Memphis, leading the team with a 597.
