No. 13 Memphis Wins at No. 19 UT Martin, Sweeps Top-Five Spots

MARTIN, Tenn. – The No. 13-ranked University of Memphis rifle team defeated No. 19 UT Martin on Sunday, 4693-4596. The Tigers (4-6, 2-5 Great American Rifle Conference) picked up wins over the Skyhawks in smallbore, 2322-2269, and air rifle, 2371-2327, and posted the second-highest team aggregate score of the season, sweeping the top-five individual spots in the match.
"We're really happy with how we finished out the weekend at UTM," head coach Morgan Phillips said. "We know we can't shoot program records every match, but we're happy to have our second-highest team score this year. The team is making great progress and both of our matches this weekend highlighted that. We're hoping to keep the momentum going for our final home match of the season against Murray State."

• Freshman Gabriela Zych was the match's high scoring individual (1178). She led the match in smallbore (584) and was second air rifle (594).
• Senior Angeline Henry led the match in air rifle (595) and was second in aggregate scoring (1175).
