Tigers Open 2022 Season with Tiger Brawl Tournament

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Memphis volleyball will kick-off the 2022 season on Friday hosting the Tiger Brawl, a two-day, five-team tournament at the Larry O. Finch Center.

The Tigers will face Nicholls and Central Michigan on Friday at 12 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. respectively before going against Eastern Washington and Southern at 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday.
Live stats for every game of the 2022 Tiger Brawl will be available at www.memphisstats.com and the Tigers' matches against EWU and Southern on will be streamed on ESPN+.

Memphis returns key pieces from last year's team including Miaya Smith, and Tabytha Toelke, who led the team in kills; Smith also was the team leader in blocks. Bailey Houlihan is back for her third season with the Tigers after leading the team in digs the last two years.

New additions to this year's roster include two JUCO First Team All-America players Halle Everett and Jasmyn Tate.

The team will host an autograph session following their match on Friday and freeze pops will be available to fans. On Saturday, pizza will be given away during the team's match against Southern.

3 p.m. – CMU vs. Nicholls
6 p.m. – Southern vs. Memphis
