Van der Klis Paces Memphis in Second Round of AAC Tournament

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. – The University of Memphis men's golf team continued play at the 2022 American Athletic Conference (AAC) Championship on Saturday, shooting a second-round team score of 290 (+2) to sit in seventh place with a 36-hole total of 581 (+5).
No. 43-ranked SMU leads the 10-team tournament at Southern Hills Golf Club with a score of 559 (-17), one shot better than Houston. No. 38 South Florida and Wichita State are tied for third with totals of 573 (-3), while UCF rounds out the top-five with a score of 574 (-2).
KEY MOMENTS
• Ryan van der Klis leads the Tigers through two rounds at the AAC Championship with a 36-hole total of 143 (-1).
• The sophomore carded a team-best 71 (-1) on Saturday, racking up four birdies on the round.
