NEW ORLEANS – The University of Memphis women's golf team carded a second-consecutive 318 (+30) in the second round of the Tulane Classic on Monday. The team sits in 13th place in the 17-team event, which is being held at the English Turn Golf & Country Club in New Orleans, La. with a two-round total of 636 (+60).
KEY MOMENTS
• Sophomore Rebecca Brink continues to headline the Tigers' effort after carding a second-round 77 (+5), tying for fifth place overall with a 150 (+6).
• Junior Victoria England had the round of the day for Memphis, shooting a 73 (+1) to move into a tie for 45th place with a 36-hole score of 159 (+15).
• Senior Victoria Gallegos and junior Brooke Veres are both tied for 72nd overall with one round to play with totals of 165 (+21). Gallegos carded an 83 (+11) on Monday, while Veres shot an 85 (+13).
• Freshman Katie Stinchcomb scored an 85 (+13) and sits in a tie for 79th place.
