MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The No. 16-ranked University of Memphis rifle team will head to Oxford, Miss. to face No. 5 Ole Miss on Saturday, Feb. 12. The match is scheduled for a 9:00 a.m. CT start with live targets available at GoTigersGo.com.
The Tigers have faced one of the most difficult schedules in the country this season. Despite the team's 0-9 record, Memphis has shot well against No. 1 West Virginia, No.4 Ole Miss, No. 6 Murray State, No. 7 Navy, No. 9 Akron twice, No. 13 Kentucky, No. 14 NC State and No. 14 Army.
The Rebels enter Saturday's match with Memphis with an overall record of 8-3 on the year, which includes a 4720-4654 victory over the Tigers on Nov. 6, 2021.
Angeline Henry leads the way for the Tigers this season with team-best averages of 1166.333 in aggregate, 575.333 in smallbore and 591 in air rifle. Kaylene Castillo is second on Memphis in both aggregate (1157.223) and air rifle (582.889), while Taylor Christian is second in small bore at 573.375.
