Tigers Place Sixth at NCAA Women’s Invitational

ATLANTIS, Bahamas – The University of Memphis women's golf team finished sixth out of eight teams at the NCAA Women's Invitational in Atlantis, Bahamas at the Ocean Club Golf Course on Sunday. The team finished with a score of 918 (+54).
"A disappointing finish to the fall season, but that's golf," head coach Jennifer Jordan said. "You have to be prepared that things may not go your way before you even tee it up in an event. Not every round will go as planned. It's safe to say, things did not go our way this week. I am still proud of how they performed this fall. It's time to rest, reflect and prepare for our spring season."
KEY MOMENTS
• Freshman Tilly Garfoot led the way for the Tigers, tying for 16th place with a score of 227 (+11). After shooting rounds of 77 on the first two days, Garfoot carded a final round 73 to move up the standings.
• Junior Rebecca Brink and sophomore Katie Stinchcomb each tied for 22nd place on the weekend with scores of 229 (+13).
• Senior Victoria England tied for 30th place with a total of 233 (+17), while classmate Brooke Veres finished in a tie for 37th with a score of 237 (+21).
