Memphis Heads to Bahamas for NCAA Women’s Invitational

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis women's golf team will head to Atlantis, Bahamas to compete in the NCAA Women's Invitational. The three-day tournament begins on Friday, Oct. 21 and runs through Sunday, Oct. 23.
"This is a fun and special event," head coach Jennifer Jordan remarked. "These opportunities do not come around very often. We have put ourselves in contention all fall. We plan to stay focused on our game plan and trust the process. We expect to put ourselves in contention again for this last event of the fall."
The 54-hole tournament will be held at the par-72, 6,415-yard Ocean Club Golf Course. Rounds will begin each day at 7 a.m. with a shotgun start.
The seven-team field includes Memphis, Little Rock, Central Arkansas, Florida Gulf Coast, South Dakota State, Lipscomb, Arkansas State and UNC Greensboro.
Last time out, freshman Tilly Garfoot led the Tigers to a fourth-place finish at the Lady Red Wolves Classic, placing second overall with a score of 208 (-8). As a team, Memphis carded a total of 868 (+4).
