ANNVILLE, Pa. – The No. 16-ranked University of Memphis rifle team fell in a neutral site match to No. 14 Army, 4639-4633, on Saturday morning at the Palmyra Sportsmen's Association in Annville, Pa. The Black Knights won smallbore, 2321-2297, while the Tigers won air rifle, 2336-2318.
With the setback, Memphis falls to 0-7 on the season overall, while Army improves to 2-5 on the year.
KEY MOMENTS
• Junior Angeline Henry was the top-scoring individual in the match, posting an aggregate score of 1164 with totals of 576 in smallbore and 588 in air rifle. Henry was second in air rifle and seventh for the Tigers in smallbore.
• Sophomore Taylor Christian took second in the individual standings with an aggregate score of 1163. Christian won air rifle with a total of 589 and took eighth in smallbore with a score of 574.
• Sophomore Kaylene Castillo was eighth overall with an aggregate score of 1154, while classmate Jack Kersey took 10th with an aggregate total of 1150.
