MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis Tiger women's tennis team opened up the spring campaign with 7-0 wins over North Alabama twice and Central Arkansas.

Emily Meyer, Alisha Reayer, Aran Teixido Garcia and Monique Woog all went 3-0 in their singles matches. Meredith Jones, Camila Romero, Camila Soares and Dolavee Tumthong also secured wins.

In doubles, the team of Teixido Garcia/Meyer went 3-0, and Reayer/Romero went 2-0. Miriam Grosmann/Woog and Reayer/Woog were 1-0, and Jones/Soares split a pair of matches.

"It was a great weekend for the Tigers," Memphis head coach Hayden Perez said. "We were challenged in a few positions, but in the end the girls proved to be tough and the experience we gained was very valuable. Our doubles is looking sharp, and it has assistant coach Ryan Haymond and I excited. It is always great to start off getting the doubles point.

"Next up is our annual match with Ole Miss, and it should be a good one."
