MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis football's wide receiver Calvin Austin III and offensive lineman Dylan Parham have been named to the 2022 Reese's Senior Bowl Watch List, announced on Thursday.
The Reese's Senior Bowl is the nation's most prestigious college all-star game, as it annually serves as the first step of the NFL Draft process. The Reese's Senior Bowl had 106 total players drafted and 36 selected in the first three rounds of the 2021 NFL Draft. The 106 figure represents 41 percent of the NFL Draft.
The preseason honor is the third this year for Austin III, who was also named to the Maxwell Award Watch List and the Biletnikoff Award Watch List.
Austin III had a breakout season for the Tigers in 2020, earning First-Team All-American Athletic Conference honors. He finished the year with a team-high 63 receptions for 1,052 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also added a punt return score, averaging 9.4 yards on 20 returns. Austin III led the AAC in both receiving yards and receiving touchdowns in 2020, ranking eighth and sixth in the nation, respectively, in those categories.
The preseason accolade is the third as well for Parham, who was named to the Outland Trophy Watch List and the Rotary Lombardi Watch List.
Parham started all 11 games at right tackle in 2020, helping Memphis rank 22nd in the nation in total offense (453.1) and finish 17th in the country in both passing offense (307.9) and first down offense (260).
This year's Reese's Senior Bowl will be held February 5, 2022 and broadcast on the NFL Network. Practices will be live on ESPN and NFL Network hosts a daily recap show each evening in primetime.
