Memphis women’s golf looks to continue momentum as it opens AAC Championship play Sunday

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis women's golf looks to continue momentum as it plays in the AAC Championship at Pinehurst No. 6 in Pinehurst, N.C., Sunday through Tuesday.
Graduate student Abby Herrmann made her first hole-in-one in competition in the Brickyard Collegiate final round April 6 to lead the Tigers to a season-best fop-five finish. Sophomore Victoria England led the Tigers by finishing tied for 13th.
The Memphis lineup will consist of Herrmann in the No. 1 spot followed by England, Julia Matzat, Brooke Veres and Ana Dawson.
Participating teams along with Memphis include No. 20 Houston, No. 31 UCF, Cincinnati, East Carolina, South Florida, SMU, Tulane, Tulsa and Wichita State.
Following Saturday's practice round at 8:45 am CT, Memphis will tee off on No. 1 at 9 a.m. CT with Tulane in Sunday's first round. All 10 teams will also tee of No. 1 on Monday, but split tees will be used for Tuesday's final round beginning at 7 a.m. CT.
