Tigers fall 5-2 to Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. – Memphis women's tennis fell to Tulsa 5-2 in its first American Athletic Conference match of the season. The Tigers are now 0-7 on the season and 0-1 in the AAC.

Memphis duo Hannah Davies and Camila Soares kicked off the afternoon with a 6-3 victory over Tulsa's Megan Hopton and Shura Poppe. Tulsa was victorious on the other two courts to claim the doubles point.

Memphis claimed two of the six singles courts. Aran Teixido Garcia defeated Shura Poppe with 6-3, 6-3 sets while Laura Bente claimed victory in the only match to go three sets.
