No. 4 Ole Miss Takes Down No. 16 Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The No. 16-ranked University of Memphis rifle team fell to No. 4 Ole Miss, 4720-4654, on Saturday morning at the R.F. Fogelman Rifle Range in Memphis, Tenn. The Rebels took smallbore, 2338-2299, and edged the Tigers in air rifle, 2382-2355.
With the setback, Memphis falls to 0-6 on the season overall and to 0-6 in Great American Rifle Conference (GARC) action. Ole Miss improves to 6-1 on the year and to 5-1 in league play.
KEY MOMENTS
• Sophomore Taylor Christian had her best showing of the season so far on Saturday, posting season-best scores of 583 in smallbore, 590 in air rifle and 1173 in aggregate to place fourth individually to lead the Tigers.
• Junior Angeline Henry took ninth overall individually with totals of 571 in smallbore, 593 in air rifle and 1164 in aggregate.
• Sophomore Jack Kersey shot a season-best score of 582 in air rifle against the Rebels.
