Tigers End Regular Season on High Note; Moberg Breaks Career Shutout Record

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Tigers were on their A-game tonight, ending the regular season with a bang after a 5-0 win over the 14th ranked Mustangs of SMU.
Following today's match, Memphis ends the regular season 11-4-1 overall and 5-3-0 in AAC play. They will be the 3 seed in the American Athletic Conference Tournament.

- Haylee Spray kicked things off for the Tigers in the 33' when she found the back of the net off a free-kick from the top of the box.
- Following a brief stoppage after the stadium went dark, Jocelyn Alonzo would extend Memphis' lead out to 2-0 off a ball sent to her from Mya Jones.
- Nine minutes later in the 74', Momo Nakao flipped one past SMU goalkeeper, Samantha Estrada, off a corner kick from Alonzo to make it 3-0.
- Grace Stordy finished off the scoring for the Tigers in the 79' and the 85' with back-to-back goals.
- While the Tigers offense came to life, their defense also locked down the Mustangs allowing them to just two shots the entire match.

- With the shutout tonight, Elizabeth Moberg became the program's all-time clean sheets leader with 39 career shutouts.
- Memphis led the match with 14 corner kicks while limiting SMU to just two.
- The Tiger's outshot SMU 30-2 with Saorla Miller leading the charge with six shots tonight.
