Morton earns another spot on the AAC Weekly Honor Roll

Sophomore outfielder led Memphis with a .583 batting average at the Blues City Classic
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – For the second-straight week, University of Memphis sophomore Gracie Morton has been named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for her efforts at the Blues City Classic. The Tigers finished with a perfect 4-0 record and improved to 11-8 overall.

Morton finished the weekend with a .583 batting average, registering a team-leading seven hits. She also recorded a pair of doubles and her second home run of the season.

In addition to her production at the plate, Morton extended her hitting streak to six games. She finished with three hits against Evansville and was responsible for driving in the game winning run in Memphis' comeback victory against the Purple Aces.

Morton is hitting a team-high .413 with 26 hits and 19 RBI. She has struck out just four times this season and has a team-leading slugging percentage of .667.
