In the win against the Green Wave, junior forward Dulcy Fankam Mendjiadeu posted her team-leading ninth double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Through 22 games, Fankam Mendjiadeu ranks 21st all-time in the Memphis record books with her nine double-doubles.
Â
Freshman sharp shooter Madison Griggs finished the Tulane contest with four made three's, marking the eighth time this season she has recorded at least four three-pointers in a game.
Â
Entering Friday night's game, Griggs has 60 treys made this season. That total ranks second in the AAC and is 10 triples shy of matching the Memphis single-season record for most three-pointers set by former guard Alex Winchell during the 2009-10 season.
Â
Junior forward Alana Davis earned her first start of the season against the Green Wave. She has started in 36 of the 81 career games she's played in at Memphis. For her career, she has scored 740 points with 464 rebounds.
Â
This is the second game against UConn this season for the Tigers. In Memphis on Jan. 14, the Tigers fell to the Huskies by just 12 points, marking the fifth-closest an American Athletic Conference team had come to defeating the powerhouse Huskies. Fankam Mendjiadeu posted a 21-point, 10-rebound double-double in the first meeting between the Tigers and the Huskies. Griggs also added 12 behind three triples.
Â
A Look At UConn

Â
Megan Walker continues to lead UConn offensively, posting a team-high 19.1 points per game to go with 8.9 rebounds per contest. Four players score in double digits for the Huskies, including Crystal Dangerfield, Christyn Williams and Olivia Nelson-Ododa.
